Become a vital part of the care team at AgeCare as a Health Care Aide. Deliver essential support to residents by assisting with personal care, transfers, and daily activities. At AgeCare, the Health Care Aide works under the supervision of a Staff Nurse, providing basic yet thorough care to meet the individual needs of residents.
With a focus on resident comfort and well-being, you'll execute tasks such as bathing, feeding, and assisting with mobility. You'll also facilitate their participation in social and recreational activities, enhancing their overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer bathing and hygiene care to residents
- Assist with mobility transfers using proper equipment
- Feed residents and ensure dietary compliance during meals
- Provide routine treatments as directed by nursing staff
- Accompany residents to therapy and recreational activities
Requirements:
- One year of experience in care preferred
- Certification as a Personal Care Aide or equivalent
- Active registration with CLHA required
- Fluency in English, written and verbal
- Post-secondary education is an asset
