Role Overview We are hiring a Senior Estimator to support pre-construction and bid development for commercial and institutional construction projects. This is a full-time, office-based role within a General Contractor environment, focused on delivering accurate, competitive bids across multiple projects.

Requirements

5–10+ years of Canadian construction estimating experience

Must have experience working for a General Contractor (non-negotiable)

Experience with commercial and/or institutional construction projects

Proven ability to complete full-cycle estimating (take-offs, pricing, bid submissions)

Proficiency in Bluebeam and BuildConnect

Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and subcontractor coordination

Very strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and mathematical skills

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with Construction Management (CM) and Design-Build projects

Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation

Experience mentoring or supporting junior estimators

Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or estimating

Responsibilities

Lead full-cycle bid preparation, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and subcontractor coordination

Prepare and submit accurate, competitive estimates across multiple projects





Use Bluebeam and BuildConnect to manage tendering, documentation, and bid tracking

Maintain and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing databases

Support RFPs, RFQs, and Design-Build/CM proposals

Participate in pre-construction meetings and client discussions

Conduct post-bid reviews and continuous improvement processes

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all estimating deliverables

Compensation & Advantages

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000, depending on experience
