Senior Manager, Finance (Onsite in South Edmonton) Job Description :

Our client in Edmonton is looking for aSenior Manager, Finance.

Must Have Primary Skills

Leadthe monthly and annual financial close processes to ensure accurate andtimely financial reporting.

Prepareand review financial statements, supporting schedules and management reports

Ensurecompliance with applicable accounting standards and Company accounting policies

Reviewjournal entries, account reconciliations and supporting documentation foraccuracy and completeness

Analyzefinancial results, identify significant variances and provide meaningfulexplanations to senior leadership

Preparefinancial reports and presentations for executive leadership as required

Ensureall financial transactions are accurately recorded and properly supported.

Reviewand approve complex accounting transactions and adjustments

Maintainfixed asset accounting, depreciation and capital project accounting.

Maintainfixed asset accounting, depreciation and capital project accounting.

Ensurebalance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly

Coordinateintercompany transactions and reconciliations where applicable

A university bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a business degree with a major in Accounting, and a Canadian CPA designation in positive standing are required. An MBA is considered an asset.

Proven Experience In

Ensurebalance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly.

Maintainstrong internal controls to safeguard Company assets





Ensurecompliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, tax requirementsand regulatory obligations.

Develop,document and improve accounting procedures and financial controls.

Supportinternal and external audits by coordinating documentation and responding toaudit requests

Implementaudit recommendations and monitor corrective actions

Supportthe annual budgeting and forecasting processes

Monitorfinancial performance against budget and forecast

Providefinancial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making

Identifytrends, risks and opportunities impacting financial performance

Developfinancial models and analyses to support business initiatives.

Assistwith cash flow forecasting and working capital management

Monitorbanking transactions and support treasury activities.

Ensureappropriate financial controls over cash management processes

Identifyopportunities to improve financial systems, reporting and business processes

Participatein ERP enhancements, system implementations and process improvementinitiatives.

Developstandardized reporting and improve automation where appropriate

Ensurefinancial data integrity across accounting systems.

Providetechnical accounting guidance and mentorship to the accounting team.

Buildstrong working relationships with operational departments to support businessobjectives

Collaboratewith other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting

Supportcross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
