The OpportunityThe Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in improving production efficiency, quality and capacity. This hands‐on role requires time on the manufacturing floor, working directly with production staff to implement best practices, troubleshooting issues, including continuous improvement related to current and recent product introduction.Location: Harrow, OntarioDepartment: DEPTECWhat you will do?Develop and optimize manufacturing process, techniques, capital equipment and workflow to enhance productivity and qualityWork with production staff to identify best manufacturing practices, utilizing Lean Six Sigma (reducing variation and eliminating waste)Investigate industry's best practices and emerging technologies and enhance our manufacturing methods by developing a roadmap and priority initiatives to implementUtilize data and compile reports to assess effectiveness of manufacturing procedureEnsure the production team is assembling the product accurately as designedActively participates within the ECR process to ensure all changes are documented prior to implementationMay develop standard work and provide training of staff on new techniques or manufacturing improvements and overseeing installation of capital equipmentAssist in reducing the occurrence of manufacturing errorsHave a hands‐on approach combined with a strategic mindsetRequired QualificationsCapable of working under minimal supervision and prioritizes tasks to take the appropriate actionThorough knowledge of the production facility and current processesExcellent coordination skills to enable cooperation with technical staff,
