Location: Windsor, ONCleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate chance for a Cost Estimator in our Windsor, Ontario Stamping Facilities.

The Cost

Estimator is responsible for the collection and analysis of data in order to estimate the factors required to manufacture our product (Cold/Hot Stampings, assembly, and miscellaneous secondary costs) . This role serves as the primary customer contact and coordinates cross-functional teams including engineering, tooling, production, quality, purchasing, logistics, and finance to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork skills, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package with career advancement opportunities.Summary of Responsibilities:Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expensesTravel to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and otherRead customer GDT and technical documents in order to prepare estimatesCollaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to develop and validate estimates.Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issuesUse computer software to calculate estimates (Mainly Siemens NX, and excel)Evaluate a product’s cost-effectiveness or profitabilityRecommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitableWork with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clientsDevelop project plans for the duration of the projectMinimum Qualifications:College or University Degree in technical discipline,At least 5 years in automotive and or stamping environmentAble to travel to USPreferred Qualifications:Bachelors in Business or Engineering preferredThe salary range for this role is $65,000 – $90,000.
