You as a Civil Estimator will: Support a team through the completion of a bid process for infrastructure projects such as earthworks, underground and roadworks Assemble accurate, timely, and well-organized estimates, including lump sum, unit rate, construction management, and design-build pursuits Organize and “bid level” sub-contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re-writing binders and assisting Project Managers in the buy-out process Be responsible for completing project-specific general accounts for various project types and complexities Be responsible for pricing out various projects based on previous historical rates and productivity Monitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and risks Focus on building relationships with sub-trades and suppliers for future opportunities Distribute sub-trade quotes to personnel, flagging areas of concern,



and coordinating with management to accommodate risk within the bid price Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing, and project costs, for future reference You have a construction-related degree/diploma and a minimum of 5 years of civil estimating or field related experience Ability to use AutoCad is an asset Strong understanding of unit rate bid process and software (ie.
