Responsibilities include conducting prosecutions under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, reviewing files, and providing pre-charge legal advice. In this role, you will handle reliable cases involving workplace-related prosecutions and public safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prosecutions for Occupational Health and Safety offences
- Provide pre-charge legal advice on investigations
- Review files and recommend charge wording
- Manage all aspects of the prosecution process
- Handle regulatory offence and Criminal Code prosecutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD)
- 0-4 years legal experience for Crown Prosecutor 1
- Active membership with the Law Society of Alberta
- Strong litigation skills and knowledge of criminal procedure
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
