Our Recreation Department islooking for a dedicatedCustodial Worker I to join the team.

Position Responsibilities

- Performs a variety of cleaning, garbage pick-up, set-up/take down of tables and chairs and minor maintenance tasks in an assigned building or building area.
- May require repeated heavy physical demands including but not limited to long periods of standing and climbing stairs.

Qualifications

- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License may be required depending on the building.
- Minimum two years' experience cleaning and upkeep of a major facility.
- Initiative and time management skills required to organize your own work.
- Self-starting attitude with an exceptional service approach.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Tactful Communication (verbal and written) with co-workers and customers.
- Responsible to ensure building security and customer safety.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance tasks within established facility standards.
- Certification in First Aid and WHMIS.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.

Hours

The standardworkweek consists of an average of 48 hours (24 hrs/position),



with the specific schedule beingdetermined by the immediate supervisor.

Compensation

Starting salary $31.71 per hour as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
