Engage in impactful analysis as a Data Analyst Intern with Workplace and Climate Change Canada in Victoria, British Columbia. This position requires expertise in Python and atmospheric research. This role is designed for a graduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at an accredited Canadian university.
You will work approximately 15 hours per week, analyzing atmospheric model outputs using ECCC’s supercomputer tools, contributing to vital research on air pollution and climate forcers.
Your responsibilities will include developing evaluation programs and producing scientific figures. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update model evaluation programs using Python
- Compute and analyze model performance metrics
- Intercompare multi-model future projections
- Produce figures and tables for scientific publications
- Investigate scientific topics with HTAP datasets Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree, graduate student status
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating system
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Familiarity with version control like GitLab
- Knowledge of atmospheric chemistry and physics Utilize your analytical skills to contribute to important environmental research at Environment and Climate Change Canada.
