This role within the Health, Fitness & Aquatics department is pivotal for member satisfaction. As a Cleaner, you will execute a variety of assigned tasks to uphold cleanliness standards at the YMCA. You will use various cleaning agents, operate vacuums and floor polishers, and assist with both indoor and outdoor maintenance as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute cleaning tasks in member and back-of-house areas
• Identify and use efficient cleaning methods and products
• Meet physical requirements including lifting over 20 pounds
• Maintain cleanliness to meet YWay standards
• Assist with seasonal outdoor cleaning and maintenance
Requirements:
• 1 to 3 years cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to follow written instructions safely
• Solid interpersonal and independent working skills
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• WHIMIS certification is an asset
