The Driver
Helper FT Incentive position is designed to support professional drivers in the productive and safe delivery of goods across various locations in Canada. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely unloading, loading, and handling of cargo, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational success.
The Driver
Helper will work closely with drivers to navigate delivery routes, assist with package management, and maintain communication with dispatch teams. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols to minimize risks during transportation and delivery. Ultimately, the role aims to enhance the overall delivery process by providing reliable assistance that helps meet company performance standards and customer expectations.
Ability to lift and carry heavy packages up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly throughout the workday. Basic understanding of delivery procedures and safety standards. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Previous experience in a delivery, warehouse, or logistics support role. Familiarity with Canadian geography and common delivery routes. Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
Customer service experience to interact professionally with clients during deliveries. Assist drivers with loading and unloading packages safely and efficiently at delivery sites. Support drivers in navigating routes and managing delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals.
Communicate effectively with drivers and dispatch to report any issues or delays encountered during deliveries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and equipment. Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies to promote a secure working environment.
The required skills such as physical stamina and communication are essential for assisting drivers in managing packages and coordinating delivery activities efficiently.
Preferred skills like familiarity with delivery routes and equipment operation enhance daily productivity by enabling smoother logistics support and quicker problem resolution. Effective teamwork and adaptability allow the Driver Helper to respond to dynamic delivery schedules and unexpected challenges.
