Job Summary

We are looking for a fun, dedicated Early Childhood Assistant to join our childcare team.

The position will be in the Preschool Classroom, working with children from 2.5 to 5 years of age. Experience working with young children is recommended. The ideal candidate is friendly, responsible, independent, and able to work in a fast paced environment.

- Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (must be completed within the last 6 months)

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

- Supervising Children
- Support classroom activities by helping implement lesson plans that promote active learning and development
- Assist with supervising children during play, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Provide individualized care and attention to children, including those with disabilities or special needs
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity
- Collaborate with lead teachers to observe and document children's progress and behavior
- Support caregiving routines such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed




- Foster positive social interactions among children to promote inclusivity and emotional development

Qualifications

- Prior classroom experience working with young children in educational or caregiving settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Passion for working with children and supporting their developmental milestones
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, enthusiasm, and a nurturing attitude
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and communicate effectively with team members and families
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in child development or caregiving are a plus

Pay: From $17.95 per hour
