Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Underwrite & negotiate risks within niche product offerings, including Miscellaneous E&O;, Media E&O;, Technology E&O;, Directors & Officers, Non-Profit, SME, Manufacturing, and Wholesale. Bind new and renewal accounts with domestic and Lloyd’s markets.
Learn and apply underwriting guidelines for assigned classes of business. Log current submissions into the policy management system. Price and quote risks within delegated underwriting authority. Refer risks outside underwriting authority to management. Issue policy documentation. Process mid-term policy changes and cancellation requests using the policy management system. Support the negotiation, development, and execution of new product lines with domestic markets and Lloyd’s syndicates. Participate in peer audits. Build and maintain productive relationships with partner brokers. Respond to broker inquiries and provide product expertise. Maintain up-to-date brokerage and broker details in the policy management system. Communicate proactively in advance of policy renewals to support timely processing. Participate in monthly underwriting meetings. Consult with carrier partners and management on risks outside delegated authority. Perform additional administrative duties as required. Job Requirements Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, or insurance or a related field. 2 years of experience in Professional Lines insurance. Completed or working towards completion of an insurance Industry designation such as CIP, CRM, RPLU Strong working knowledge of Professional Lines products, including but not limited to Directors & Officers, Miscellaneous E&O;, Media, Technology, Non-Profits, Manufacturing and Wholesale Experience working with Lloyd’s brokers/syndicates and negotiating with Lloyd’s markets for non-standard (niche) lines of business is a definite asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
