About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and engaging Aftercare Facilitator to join their team in East London . This role focuses on providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for children after regular school hours. You will be responsible for organizing homework assistance, recreational activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children in your care. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about child development and enjoy fostering a positive atmosphere for learning and play outside of the traditional school day.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children during aftercare hours.
- Assist children with homework and provide academic support as needed.
- Plan and lead engaging recreational activities, including arts, crafts, sports, and games.
- Manage group dynamics and promote positive social interactions among children.




- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's participation and progress.
- Ensure the aftercare area is kept tidy and organized.

Requirements

- Experience in childcare, youth work, or education is preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a group of children effectively and ensure their safety.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
