Translate product requirements and technical designs into clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Contribute across the technology stack, including Java/Spring services, web applications, APIs, databases, and cloud-based systems. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, incorporating feedback and following team engineering standards.

Add and maintain appropriate tests, logging, metrics, and documentation for the code you deliver. Help investigate production issues, support operational fixes, and escalated risks or blockers with guidance from teammates.

Experience developing software through professional work, internships, academic projects, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language,



with experience or interest in Java and Spring/Spring Boot. Understanding of core software engineering practices, including object-oriented programming, data structures, testing, debugging, and version control.

Ability to learn unfamiliar systems, break work into manageable steps, and ask for help when needed. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a commitment to building inclusive and respectful working relationships. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.

Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, or service-oriented application development. Exposure to React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Experience with SQL and relational databases; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services. Familiarity with Linux-based development or production environments.

Exposure to monitoring, logging, CI/CD, or on-call support. You will work on technology that supports real travel decisions and connects Cruise partners, consultants, travelers, and Expedia Group platforms. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $105,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
