Drive administrative excellence at the University of Waterloo as an Executive Assistant to the Chair. Provide high-level support while managing the Chair's schedule and facilitating faculty relations. As part of the Faculty of Engineering in Systems Design Engineering, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining day-to-day operations.

Your responsibilities will include organizing the Chair's calendar, drafting correspondence, and handling confidential matters. Additionally, you'll assist in faculty hiring processes, ensuring smooth onboarding and support throughout their careers. Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the Chair’s schedule and coordinate meetings
- Draft correspondence and reports on the Chair's behalf
- Assist with faculty recruitment and appointment processes




- Organize agendas and take minutes for departmental meetings
- Supervise the Department Assistant and support administration

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in a relevant field
- Extensive administrative experience in an academic setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and online meeting tools
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures
