Department: Ambulatory/Endoscopy Clinics ABOUT THE POSITION Assist with all aspects of patient care through all phases of the surgical experience under the direction of the appropriate health care professional as part of the multidisciplinary team. Be responsible for maintaining significant stock items in the Ambulatory clinics. Assist with patient care including physical care as well as the provision of safety, confidentiality in a professional manner. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The Surgical Clinic operates several days a week in the Ambulatory Care Unit, handling minor surgical procedures, follow-up post-operative appointments and consultations. Day surgery patients (adults and children) receive pre and post-operative care in the day surgery department.



A variety of services can have outpatient day surgery procedures: General surgery, Dental surgery, Ear, nose and throat, Orthopedics, Urology, Gynecology QUALIFICATIONS Secondary School Graduate or equivalent required Patient Porter experience required Knowledge of housekeeping techniques required Knowledge of instrument cleaning and handling required Knowledge of Aseptic technique and Infection Prevention and Control required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required Safe patient Handling (
