Executive

Chef (Full Time) Camp Chief Hector YMCA (Exshaw, Alberta) Salary: $56,096 - $70,120/ year Start Date: Immediately Affordable accommodation available on property Complimentary YMCA Calgary membership including a linked membership for dependent children; Comprehensive health and dental benefits. Pension plan with specified contribution matching by the Association; Scholarship opportunities; Paid recertification and training. Minimum of five years’ experience working in kitchen management / leadership roles Completion of a Red Seal Certification Food Safe certificate Experience in training and development of kitchen teams Excellent customer service Basic proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook Experience with different food ordering and menu planning tools Asset if certification is issued by one of the following five Canadian organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society,



St John's Ambulance and/or Canadian Ski Patrol Plan menu and oversee preparation of meals in accordance with established systems and AHS Food Safe regulations Provide friendly, prompt customer service Ensure a high level of quality, cleanliness and safety in all food preparation Ensure food safety and that all staff follow secure food handling and sanitary procedures Interact and provide service to children, families, and other guests Plan meals, update recipes and keep food costs in line with budget Ensure standardized portions are adhered to and food waste is kept to a minimum Ensure adequate storage of all food and supplies, and maintain inventory Staff Development and Team Building Be an active leader in a positive kitchen culture and respectful workplace Actively develop your staff team utilizing a strength-based approach and by engaging in regular conversation about their performance Support Camp Chief Hector YMCA risk management rules and guidelines Be part of CCH fund raising and community initiatives What qualities do we look for in YMCA Calgary Staff and Volunteers?
