Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Recreation and Parks department as a Exercise and Wellness Specialist.

Reporting to the Floor Services Coordinator, this position will be responsible for providing exceptional front-line customer service and program/fitness service delivery to guests of the Fitness and Wellness Centre. This position will also provide other services such as group fitness instruction and personal training. We want to work with people who are committed to ongoing professional development and are enthusiastic about demonstrating their knowledge of best practices in the Fitness & Wellness field.

Individuals who are successful on our team are people-centric and have a passion for helping and taking on new opportunities. High school diploma and three years of experience is a minimum. A degree or diploma in Physical Education, Kinesiology or a related field is preferred.





Direct experience in customer service or fitness facility workplace is an asset. CSEP-CPT, NSCA-CSCS or equivalent certifications are preferred. AFLCA or equivalent group exercise certification would be an asset.

Current First

Aid/CPR certification is required, prior to hire. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and experience with a membership management database is an asset. Monday – Friday 5:15 a.m. – Saturday, Sunday and Holidays – 6:15 a.m. – This is a casual position with 5-20 hours per week, depending on availability.

The wage ranges from $22.08 – $26.88 per hour based on qualifications and experience. Employees can purchase an annual Recreation Access Pass for $87 + tax, granting unlimited access to Servus Credit Union Place (excluding PLAYcare and registered programs), Fountain Park Recreation Centre, and Grosvenor Outdoor Pool.
