About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Biomass Energy Specialist to join their renewable energy team in East London . This role focuses on the development, implementation, and optimization of projects utilizing biomass as a sustainable energy source. You will be responsible for assessing biomass resources, designing conversion technologies, managing project execution, and ensuring operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

- Identify and assess sustainable biomass resources suitable for energy generation projects.
- Design and evaluate biomass conversion technologies, including combustion, gasification, and anaerobic digestion systems.
- Develop project proposals, feasibility studies, and business cases for biomass energy projects.
- Manage the procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of biomass power plants and facilities.
- Optimize the operational performance of biomass energy systems, focusing on efficiency and environmental compliance.
- Build and maintain relationships with biomass suppliers, technology providers,



and project stakeholders.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental), Agricultural Science, or a related field with a focus on bioenergy.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the biomass energy sector , including project development and operational aspects.
- Strong knowledge of biomass feedstock characterization, pre-treatment, and conversion processes.
- Experience with relevant technologies such as boilers, gasifiers, anaerobic digesters, and CHP systems.
- Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability certification for bioenergy projects.
- Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.
