Our client is seeking an Aviation Technical Trainer - Engine Modules to support the development and qualification of technicians within a commercial aircraft engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment. This role is focused on delivering technical training related to engine module maintenance, including teardown, inspection, repair, and assembly activities.This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on aviation maintenance professional who enjoys developing others, sharing technical knowledge, and helping build a highly skilled workforce within a growing engine overhaul operation.What You'll DoDeliver classroom, workshop, and hands-on technical training focused on aircraft engine modules and maintenance fundamentalsPrepare training materials, equipment, tools, and learning environments that reflect real-world shop floor operationsFacilitate practical demonstrations and technical instruction for maintenance personnelAdminister technical assessments, evaluations, and competency reviewsMonitor trainee progress and provide coaching, mentoring, and developmental feedbackIdentify learning gaps and implement corrective training measures as requiredValidate technician knowledge and practical skill development through objective qualification assessmentsMaintain accurate training records and documentationSupport updates and continuous improvement of training programs, materials, and instructional methodsCollaborate with operational, engineering, quality, and technical teams to ensure training aligns with organizational requirements and industry standardsQualificationsRequiredDiploma in Aviation Maintenance, Aerospace Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline2 to 5 years of experience in a technical training, technical lead, team lead, or mentoring capacity within an aviation maintenance environmentStrong hands-on experience with aircraft engine module maintenance, including teardown,
inspection, repair, and build-up activitiesKnowledge of commercial aircraft engine maintenance and overhaul practicesUnderstanding of aviation regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standardsExcellent communication, presentation, and coaching skillsAbility to evaluate technician competency and provide constructive developmental feedbackStrong organizational skills and attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyFluent in both French and English (spoken and written)Preferred ExperienceAircraft engine overhaul or MRO environment experienceExperience developing and delivering technical training programsExperience conducting practical evaluations and competency assessmentsFamiliarity with adult learning principles and instructional methodologiesExperience supporting technician onboarding and qualification programsExperience working within Transport Canada, FAA, or EASA-regulated maintenance environmentsExperience leading apprentices, junior technicians, or maintenance teamsThe Ideal CandidatePossesses robust aircraft engine maintenance knowledge and enjoys sharing technical expertiseHas a passion for developing and mentoring techniciansCombines hands-on maintenance experience with effective training and presentation skillsCan confidently explain technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of experienceThrives in both classroom and shop-floor training environmentsDemonstrates strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skillsWorks effectively with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance teamsValues safety, compliance, and continuous improvementEnjoys helping others build technical capabilities and advance their careersThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing aviation organization and play a key role in developing the next generation of engine maintenance professionals while supporting a world-class commercial aircraft engine operation.
