Job Description Network Project Coordinator Division: Atlantic First Nation Tech Services (AFNTS) Location: It is possible for this position to be located in one of the communities served by AFNTS, with the agreement of the community. A remote work arrangement would also be considered. Ability and willingness to travel to communities in the Atlantic provinces and a valid driver’s license are required. Language: English Required. Knowledge of Mi’kmaq, Wolastoqiyik, or Innu language and culture is an asset. Preference will be given to candidates who are First Nation. Immediate Supervisor: Director, Atlantic First Nation Tech Services Created: December 2024 Revised: July 2026 Client Service Results: The position of Network Project Coordinator for Atlantic First Nation Tech Services and Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey is part of the AFNTS Network Team.
They are primarily responsible for coordinating the expansion and supporting the ongoing operation of the Atlantic First Nation Fibre Network. This expansion project will scale our network by adding 30-35 band operated buildings annually. Summary of Duties: Primary Responsibilities: Be the main point of contact for all parties involved in network expansion including: Band management, in office contacts, 3rd party contractors, vendors, internally (MK), etc Maintain accurate budgets in accordance with funding guidelines Learn about the needs of member communities and incorporate them into the project when feasible. Draft reports and other documents required for project follow-up. Plan human and material resource requirements in line with objectives Draw up and monitor completion schedules via project management software Assign tasks to network team members, taking into
