Become a key educational leader as a Long-Term Occasional Grade 4 Teacher with Simcoe County District School Board. Focus on effective instruction while enhancing student engagement in a supportive environment.
This role is centered around teaching Grade 4 and requires Full-time commitment, with 1.0 FTE being five days a week. You will implement instructional programs, manage classroom activities, and prepare teaching plans as assigned by Principal Sarah Reilly. Your experience in teaching with another board will be crucial for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver effective instruction and evaluate student progress
• Manage classroom and maintain a safe learning environment
• Prepare detailed teaching plans as necessary
• Collaborate with staff to ensure student well-being
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events
Requirements:
• Qualifications in French Immersion (FI) and French as a Second Language (FSL)
• 5+ years of teaching experience in a recognized board
• Ability to self-identify with an equity-deserving group, if applicable
• Robust commitment to equity and inclusion principles
• Background check required prior to employment
