Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, robust communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food handling, cashiering, and customer service.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders at the counter
- Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and digital payments
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times




- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns promptly
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service

Experience

- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
