As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Licensed Practical Nurse Unit and Program: Bonnyville Healthcare Centre Multi-Site: Not Applicable Employee Class: Regular Full Time Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 60 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Experience with Patient and Family Center Care (PFCC) and Complex Discharge Management with a multi-disciplinary team
- Skill in collaborative practices and concurrent care planning
- Case Management experience (Homecare or CCH environment)
- Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive assessments to individuals within their physical and social environments
- Able to respond with hands‑on care of patients during assessment (transfers, bariatric clients, bending, twisting, walking, intervening for client safety as required);
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of two years' experience within Home and Community Care
- Completion of an LPN program from an approved college
- Specialty training in geriatrics or palliative and end of life care. A satisfactory criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search is required prior to your first day of work. Communities.
