We are hiring a Senior Manager, Maintenance for our Peterborough, Ontario plant, a key site for juice and dairy manufacturing.

In this role, you will lead a maintenance and reliability strategy, ensure compliance across critical systems, and drive improvements that reduce downtime and elevate performance. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a passion for building team competence and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Lead the development and execution of a multi-year maintenance and reliability strategy for the site, including alignment on capital project priorities.

Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime of process, packaging, utilities, and building systems. Build technical capability across maintenance teams through structured coaching, mentoring, and skills development programs. Partner with production, quality, safety, and warehouse teams to deliver operational improvements that meet site performance and compliance targets.

Ensure regulatory and internal compliance with systems including ammonia refrigeration, wastewater treatment, utilities, TSSA, CFIA, and KORE standards. Oversee the planning and allocation of resources for maintenance activities, spare parts management, and contractor coordination to ensure efficiency and continuity of operations. Serve as the site Subject Matter Expert for maintenance processes, engineering change control, and technical upgrades, ensuring smooth integration of new systems or technologies.

Support the execution of capital projects by collaborating with corporate engineering and on-site project teams.



Champion a culture of continuous improvement by initiating focused improvement projects for safety, quality, and operational reliability. Communicate progress against maintenance KPIs, cost metrics, and reliability performance to stakeholders, delivering insights that inform operational decisions.

Ensure safe work practices across all maintenance operations while fostering sustainable maintenance approaches aligned with corporate sustainability goals. Provide leadership and direction for in office troubleshooting during complex technical issues across systems such as process automation, utilities, and building infrastructure. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a similar Engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience required.

Minimum 5 years of experience in similar industrial maintenance positions, including leadership roles with strategic responsibility. Expertise in maintenance and engineering compliance standards for food manufacturing, including ISO, GMP, HACCP, and CFIA guidelines. Proven experience managing site preventive and predictive maintenance programs leveraging modern CMMS platforms such as SAP.

Solid technical background in troubleshooting processing and packaging machinery/equipment, utilities, and automation systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI). Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for safety, environmental, and electrical compliance in Canada; Ability to interpret and modify technical drawings, P&ID; diagrams,



and engineering schematics for troubleshooting and process improvement. Strong analytical and data literacy skills to leverage equipment performance data and reliability metrics for decision-making.

Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional collaboration and managing external contractors in a manufacturing environment. Provide a critical leadership role where you will shape maintenance excellence in a high-performing manufacturing environment. Pay Range: Canada: 134,800 - 151,900 CAD Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
