Currently we have an opening for a Production Operator. This position is responsible for the production operations, including assembly, machinery, processing and/or packaging. Are you an enthusiastic team player looking for an opportunity to apply your expertise in manufacturing?
Under general direction, responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes. Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment. Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations. Safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements. Contribute to the manufacturing of components and finished.
Environmental
Health and Safety Comply with safety policies and applicable government,
customer or industry regulations or requirements. Maintain orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
Attend
Environmental, Health and Safety related trainings. Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task. Legal entitlement to work in Canada. Previous related experience in a production or manufacturing environment Ability to communicate effectively using the spoken word in English Ability to read and understand basic instructions provided in written or drawing form Ability to work shift-work Ability to operate forklift would be an asset.
