Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager, the Mechanical Systems Technician will ensure the proper maintenance and operation of all mechanical systems and related equipment owned by the Board.

High School

Diploma and a 3-year Community College diploma in a related field.





Valid Ontario

Certificates of Qualification with evidence of experience as a qualified Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic, Gas Fitter 1 and Oil Burner Mechanic. Advanced knowledge of electrical/electronic circuitry, water testing, combustion analyzing equipment. Three to four years' experience with gas and oil equipment installation and service.

Two years' experience in commercial/institutional maintenance. Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, building & construction regulations and trade standards. Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle in order to travel and provide service throughout the district.
