As a Procurement Specialist II, you will perform complex purchasing functions consistent with established AHS procurement policies, practices, laws, and trade agreements. You will perform the acquisition process primarily for purchases of a transactional nature which includes researching/collating information, preparation of requests for quotations, review of quotations, creation of purchase agreements, and issuance of purchase orders. Under the direction of the Manager, you will coordinate and monitor assigned team purchasing activities; acts as a source of knowledge by answering questions, providing technical advice, and assisting in the training of staff.

minimum undergraduate degree related to business administration.

Experience working with a health care organization of significant size, complexity and diversity with a demonstrated working knowledge of corporate culture. Demonstrated ability to articulate stakeholder needs both internal to AHS and the supplier community. Must be detailed oriented, demonstrate analytical capabilities especially with a high proficiency in Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems e.g.

Oracle/SAP and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered. Project management, process design and/or stakeholder engagement experience within a healthcare organization of significant size and complexity is preferred.
