Grande Prairie Regional Hospital (GPRH) is seeking a Pharmacist I who is passionate about clinical practice and direct patient care. GPRH serves Grande Prairie and surrounding communities, offering a collaborative environment where pharmacists play a valued role in patient care. The position supports professional growth through quality improvement activities, mentorship opportunities, and expanded practice development.In addition to the AHS salary, this role is currently eligible for a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually and a Northern Pharmacist Wage Supplement of up to $10,000 annually.

Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying medication orders, checking prepared medications, coordinating access to specialized therapies, documenting clinical interventions, and supporting medication stewardship initiatives. The position also includes order verification responsibilities for GPRH and surrounding rural sites.This prospect is ideal for a pharmacist who communicates effectively, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance competing priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment. Proficiency with computerized medication order entry systems, drug information resources, and strong written and verbal communication is required.As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services.

In addition, you will provide assessment,



intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.
