Weldco Heavy Industries is currently recruiting a Brake Press/Burn Table Operator for the Fort MacKay location on a 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotation, 12-hour shifts. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, your primary Brake Press Operator responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Set up and operation of a 1000 ton CNC brake press and 10ft. CNC rolls Working with steel 3/16" to 1 ½" thickness in the press brake and ¼" to 2" in the rolls Adhere to quality control standards and procedures Read blueprints and schematics Record keeping and reporting Performs other duties as required Your primary Burn Table Operator responsibilities will include but not limited to; Alignsplate on table Selects program and adjusts setting to suit the burning project Makes appropriate adjustments to ensure accurately burned piles with no defects Checks burn quality of finished pieces and re-burn defective pieces, if required Assures the correct quantity is burned according to the burn sheet specifications Changes out torch tips, electrodes & nozzles, as required Clear the table Shut down and maintenance Record keeping and reporting Performs other duties as required High school diploma 2 years experience operating a brake press 2 years experience operating a burn table 1 yearof experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset Forklift, crane & rigging experience and/or certification is preferred What you bring to the position: Strong abilityto read blueprints, understand work orders and directions Knowledge of general safety practices Organizational skills Able to adaptto changing priorities Time management skills to beefficient in a production workplace Ableto learn production flow and efficiency Excellent communication skills - verbal and written, clear and concise Interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others What we bring: Competitive pay Personal growth and career advancement opportunities Feedback and recognition for a job well done A workplace the prides itself on safety, cleanliness, respect, and results A living allowance will be provided No accommodations or transportation provided Please note: Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment medical evaluation upon hiring. #J-18808-Ljbffr
