The program combines immersive learning experiences with required development sessions to build the qualified, commercial, and personal effectiveness skills graduates need to thrive and lead in our business.Your responsibilities may include:Designing smoke control, ventilation and egress systems which support protected, healthy environments in tunnels and transit stationsAnalysing design performance through spreadsheet calculations and engineering simulationsEvaluating designs against applicable codes and standardsDrafting technical reports, fire safety strategies, code compliance reports,Drafting testing and commissioning plans, inspection and maintenance plans, equipment specifications and engineering diagramsInspecting and testing of smoke control systems and tunnel ventilation systemsSite visits and documenting site conditions,
drafting site condition assessmentsParticipating in project and client meetingsContributing to project plansLeveraging digital tools and innovationBuilding connections through our Early Career Professionals NetworkTo be considered for this opportunity, our minimum requirements are:Master's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or another engineering discipline with a significant fluid mechanics componentEIT with EGBC or PEO, or eligibility to join eitherDemonstrated interest in consulting engineering and infrastructure developmentCreative thinking skills, with a methodical and pragmatic approach to problem solvingExcellent communication and presentation skillsResilient, solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous growth and delivering valueAbility to build and maintain relationships and rapport with internal and external stakeholdersCollaborative spirit and commitment to teamworkThe following will be considered valuable assets:Experience with pedestrian modeling calculations and softwareGood knowledge of NFPA 130 and NFPA 502 standardsExperience with 1D flow simulation software, such as SES, VentSIM, IDA TunnelExperience with 3D flow simulation software, such as Ansys Fluent, Ansys CFX, OpenFOAM, FDS.This position is located in Vancouver, BC.
