The Process
Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple manufacturing facilities within our Concord campus. This role focuses on optimizing production processes, improving product quality, enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and supporting the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives throughout the glazing and window manufacturing operations.
The Process
Engineer will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Safety, and Product Development teams to analyze manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable solutions that support safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This position requires a hands‑on engineering professional who can operate effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while supporting multiple production facilities and product lines. Process
Optimization & Continuous Improvement Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improved productivity, quality, throughput, and cost reduction.
Lead Lean
Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across multiple facilities. Conduct process audits and workflow assessments to eliminate waste and improve operational performance. Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to identify trends and solve complex manufacturing challenges. Support the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor process performance.
Manufacturing Support
Provide day-to-day engineering support to production teams. Investigate process failures, bottlenecks, quality concerns, and production inefficiencies. Collaborate with supervisors and operators to improve manufacturing methods and equipment utilization. Evaluate and optimize material flow, plant layouts, and workstation ergonomics.
Project Management
Lead or participate in capital improvement projects and equipment installation initiatives. Develop project scopes, cost estimates, timelines, and implementation plans. Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Quality
Improvement ~ Partner with Quality teams to identify root causes of defects and drive improvements.
~ Support the implementation of process controls that ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction. Health and Safety Promote a strong safety culture and ensure engineering solutions prioritize employee safety. Conduct risk assessments for new processes, equipment, and facility modifications.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company policies. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical or related engineering discipline ~2-4 years of manufacturing engineering or process engineering experience. ~ Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations. ~ Experience working in a multi-site manufacturing environment is considered an asset. ~ Experience in glazing, architectural glass, window manufacturing, door manufacturing, building products, or related industries is preferred. ~ Demonstrated experience in using continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Process Mapping and Statistical Process Control (SPC) ~ Ability to influence change across multiple departments and facilities ~ Strong project management and organizational skills ~ Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement 85,000 to $95,000 plus discretionary bonus Training & Onboarding We will provide training and onboarding sessions to ensure that you’ve got everything you need to succeed in your new role.
