MOLD TECHNICIAN Shift: Employee will train on the day shift (6:50 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) for six weeks and will then permanently transfer to the afternoon shift (2:50 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.).

Objective

- Support production initiatives with mold cleaning and maintenance

Responsibilities

- Main Tasks
- Remove and replace molds in presses, including maintenance and storage
- Perform and record preventative maintenance items on tooling as directed
- Minor troubleshooting and recommend process improvement related to quality of product
- Identify and communicate mold/machine issues to Process Technicians, Shift Supervisor, and Maintenance
- Follow startup procedures for removing and replacing molds
- Ice blast, media blast, drill pots, and replacing vaccuum seal

- General Tasks (if relevant)





- Perform daily shop inspections and preventative maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance on injection mold tooling
- General housekeeping: maintain cleanliness of work areas

Qualifications/ Requirements/ Competencies

- High school diploma
- Crane/Scissor Lift/Reach Lift Truck certification and experience preferred
- 1 to 2 years experience in a manufacturing setting with some knowledge of robots is an asset

Specifications

- High degree of mechanical aptitude and mechanical experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and comprehension)
- Ability to lift approximately 20 to 70 lbs intermittently, pushing and pulling 300 to 400 lbs
