CSA Group has an immediate prospect for a Project Manager, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) reporting to the Program Manager, Data and Agri-Food. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will interact with industry experts, academia, researchers, and government officials, facilitating technical discussions and promoting consensus to develop leading-edge standards solutions.

CSA’s ICT standards team manages a portfolio of standards and guidelines that cover various areas in the information and communications technologies such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IoT, data, advanced manufacturing, intelligent cities, and more. Facilitative and customer-driven, you develop practical standards-based solutions that address stakeholder needs while supporting innovation, trust, safety, sustainability and economic efficiency. You have proven, well-developed decision-making, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, along with exceptional organizational abilities.

You show initiative and are motivated, resilient and flexible. by leveraging existing ICT standards and best practices. Facilitating the development of standards by CSA Group volunteer committee members, including convening in-person and virtual meetings. Establishing and actively managing project processes and schedules, resource requirements (e.g., funding, personnel), costs, quality and risk.

Day-to-day management of committee activities, including maintaining records and draft standards. Liaising with internal and external partners including clients, management, editorial and production, legal and finance to deliver projects and to develop new business opportunities. Participating on internal task teams as required (e.g., business or process improvement, research).

This dynamic role requires a sound understanding of the various processes and procedures of CSA Group, many of which are mandated under the accreditation by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). A key element of the Project Manager role is to ensure that these processes and procedures are adhered to, and that project timelines are achieved within the defined budget. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related area of study Experience in developing and articulating ICT-based system level solutions within functional application domains Acquired knowledge of the standards’ industry, government policy, industry landscape and funding/business models would be an asset.

Experience working with volunteers and/or multi-stakeholder groups would be an asset.



Strong technical understanding of one or more areas in the ICT sector such as data management, security, privacy, Quantum computing, advanced manufacturing, AI systems, system integration, web services, and others.

Excellent people skills: managing relationships, facilitating and networking with people at all levels with divergent interests, backgrounds and goals. Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including experience and comfort with delivering presentations and with writing technical documents, proposals and business plans. Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills.

Creative, participative and flexible approach to managing work assignments. Strong computer skills (word processing, presentation software, project planning software, spreadsheets, etc.). Fluency in French is a requirement for candidates hired for our Quebec office.

Fluency in English is a requirement to meet the needs of our clients outside of Quebec.

Travel

Some travel will be required. The typical hiring range for this position is $88,260 – $100,000 CAD gross annually. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

Dans ce poste stimulant et enrichissant, vous serez amené à interagir avec des experts du secteur, des universitaires, des chercheurs et des représentants des pouvoirs publics, afin de faciliter les discussions techniques et de favoriser la recherche d’un consensus pour élaborer des solutions normatives de pointe. L’équipe de normalisation TIC de CSA gère un portefeuille de normes et de lignes directrices couvrant divers domaines des technologies de l’information et de la communication, tels que la cybersécurité, l’intelligence artificielle, l’Internet des objets (IoT), les données, la fabrication de pointe, les villes intelligentes, etc.

Mettre en place et gérer activement les processus et les calendriers des projets, les besoins en ressources (par exemple, financement, personnel), les coûts, la qualité et les risques Assurer la gestion quotidienne des activités des comités, y compris la tenue des registres et la rédaction des projets de normes Collaborer avec la direction du comité (président, vice-président) pour gérer le fonctionnement et la composition du comité, y compris le recrutement des membres Assurer la liaison avec les partenaires internes et externes, notamment les clients, la direction, les services éditoriaux et de production, le service juridique et le service financier,



afin de mener à bien les projets et de développer de nouvelles opportunités commerciales Ce poste dynamique exige une solide compréhension des différents processus et procédures du Groupe CSA, dont bon nombre sont imposés par l’accréditation délivrée par le Conseil canadien des normes (CCN) et l’American National Standards Institute (ANSI). L’un des éléments clés du poste de chef de projet consiste à veiller au respect de ces processus et procédures, ainsi qu’au respect des délais des projets dans les limites du budget défini.

Formation

Licence ou diplôme supérieur dans un domaine d’études pertinent Une connaissance acquise du secteur de la normalisation, des politiques gouvernementales, du paysage industriel et des modèles de financement/d’affaires constituerait un atout. Solide maîtrise technique d’un ou plusieurs domaines du secteur des TIC, tels que la gestion des données, la sécurité, la protection de la vie privée, l’informatique quantique, la fabrication de pointe, les systèmes d’IA, l’intégration de systèmes, les services web, et autres Excellentes compétences relationnelles : gestion des relations, animation et mise en réseau avec des personnes de tous niveaux ayant des intérêts, des parcours et des objectifs divergents Compétences de communication orale et écrite très développées, notamment une expérience et une aisance dans la réalisation de présentations ainsi que dans la rédaction de documents techniques, de propositions et de plans d’affaires Excellentes compétences en gestion de projet, en organisation et en planification. Approche créative, participative et flexible de la gestion des missions.

Solides compétences informatiques (traitement de texte, logiciels de présentation, logiciels de planification de projet, tableurs, etc.). La maîtrise du français est une condition requise pour les candidats recrutés au sein de notre bureau du Québec. La maîtrise de l'anglais est une condition requise pour répondre aux besoins de nos clients hors du Québec.
