Our Recreation Department islooking for a dedicatedCustodial Worker I to join the team.

Position Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning, garbage pick-up, set-up/take down of tables and chairs and minor maintenance tasks in an assigned building or building area.
• May require repeated heavy physical demands including but not limited to long periods of standing and climbing stairs.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License may be required depending on the building.
• Minimum two years experience cleaning and upkeep of a major facility.
• Initiative and time management skills required to organize your own work.
• Self-starting attitude with an exceptional service approach.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Tactful Communication (verbal and written)
  
  
  
  with co-workers and customers.
• Responsible to ensure building security and customer safety.
• Ability to perform minor maintenance tasks within established facility standards.
• Certification in First Aid and WHMIS.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.

Hours

The standardworkweek consists of an average of 48 hours (24 hrs/position), with the specific schedule beingdetermined by the immediate supervisor.

Compensation

Starting salary $31.71 per hour as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
