As a full time Justice of the Peace Bail Duty Counsel Lawyer, you will operate remotely from anywhere in Alberta.

Your role involves representing clients during bail hearings, preparing bail plans, and negotiating with Crown counsel. Ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide duty counsel representation for bail cases
- Negotiate with Crown counsel for client bail conditions
- Assist clients with bail plan preparation
- Offer legal advice during Brydges calls
- Maintain accurate statistical records of services provided

Requirements:

- Law Degree from a recognized school
- Minimum 2 years of criminal law experience
- Active member of the Law Society of Alberta
- Knowledge of Canadian criminal law, especially bail law
- Excellent problem-solving and advocacy skills
