A banquet facility in Barrie, Ontario is looking to hire a passionate Chef’s Assistant to join their team.

Job Description

Willingness to learn and work alongside Chef.
Take charge and work independently – learn menus and able to work on your own preparing and sending food out.
Stand for long periods and work long days
Assist with day to day back of house operations including the – organization of the kitchen, daily inventory checks, stocking, and cleaning (dish pit)
Thursday, Friday and Saturdays you must be available – with a flexible schedule. The shift will include early mornings along with long days and late nights depending on events and catering orders.

Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of two years’ experience in the kitchen
Passion for excellent food and culinary expertise
Hands-on food preparation skills
Robust Leadership and Team building skills
Previous experience and Food Handler Certification required.
