Qualifications – Ontario Healthcare Facility
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
Current BLS/CPR Certificate
PCC experience required
Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the last 6 months
TB testing completed within the last 6 months

Responsibilities:
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans
Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in health status
Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice
Collaborate with physicians, PSWs, RPNs, and other members of the healthcare team
Support residents with ongoing chronic and complex care needs
Maintain accurate resident documentation and clinical records
Communicate changes in resident condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals and family members




Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and long-term care standards

Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant Canadian nursing experience required
Long-term care experience required
PCC experience required
Experience caring for residents with complex and chronic health conditions
Ability to work independently and in a team workplace
Solid clinical judgment and adaptability

Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Robust assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and medication administration
Compassion and empathy when supporting residents and families
Ability to work effectively during 12-hour shifts
