Opportunity: Permanent - Full Time Maintenance Worker at Melville Lodge

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the grounds surrounding the building, ensuring it is safe and aesthetically pleasing
Manage and conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections/checks
Assists with moving and storage of supplies and equipment
Report on equipment malfunctions
Maintain and make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
Performs other routine maintenance such as painting, drywall repair etc.
Contact and follow-up with contractors, technicians, and service representatives utilized by the organization when necessary
Available for emergency calls




Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of basic carpentry, welding, HVAC, and fire systems or safety regulations is considered an asset
Preventative maintenance experience
Experience in a long-term care or health care facilities is considered an asset
Must be self directed, dependable, conscientious, and lead by example
Ability to organize and complete assigned workloads
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding job duties
Able to work as part of a team with other departments
Previous maintenance experience is an asset
Must possess a valid drivers license
