Shape the safety of Toronto as a Full time Dispatcher for Toronto Community Housing. This role requires crisis intervention skills and customer service expertise while managing communications and dispatch operations.
Join the Community Safety Unit as a Dispatcher, working rotating 12-hour shifts across all times of day. Your role will involve rapid-paced decision-making, receiving calls, and dispatching services to ensure community safety. You will be integral in monitoring Special Constables and responding effectively to a range of emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and assess public calls for service
• Initiate police, fire, and ambulance responses
• Dispatch officers and monitor their field activities
• Maintain detailed records within confidential systems
• Conduct CPIC checks as required
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work various shifts including nights and weekends
• Solid customer service and crisis intervention skills
• Proficiency in data entry and communication systems
• Familiarity with law enforcement procedures is an asset
