Empower clients at Ottawa Salus as a Recreologist, fostering active engagement and recreational prospects in a permanent full time role. This position offers the chance to promote physical and social activities while supporting mental health recovery. The Recreologist facilitates clients’ leisure time by organizing community-based activities and providing essential resources to frontline staff. In this full time role, you will utilize your expertise to develop individual recreation plans and lead group activities. The focus is on establishing client connections and ensuring successful integration into community programs. Key Responsibilities:
Establish trusting relationships with clients
Develop recreation and leisure assessments
Plan and implement individual client activity programs
Organize group activities based on client needs
Provide consultative resources to staff and clients Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Recreology or related field
Two years of experience with mentally ill clients
CPR and psychiatric rehabilitation training are assets
Bilingualism in English and French required
