ROLE SUMMARY:
In a general way, the professor's teaching load shall include preparation of course outline; preparation of classes, labs and fieldwork; teaching classes, adaptation; support and supervision of students; preparation, invigilation and correction of examinations; revision of corrections at the students’ request and other activities when required.DUTIES :
The College is seeking hourly paid professors to join a dynamic team to teach credited courses within Continuing Education in the Winter 2027. These courses will be taught in an ONLINE SYNCHRONOUS format using teaching tools such as Microsoft Teams, Léa and Moodle.**All courses will be taught from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.410-800-HR Introduction to the Profession (45 hours)
(Mondays and Tuesdays from January 18th, 2027 to February 15th, 2027)
This course introduces students to the accounting profession and the roles performed by accounting technicians. Students explore the variety of industries and organizations that employ accounting technicians, as well as the key characteristics and outlook of the profession. The course also examines the tasks, processes, skills, and professional behaviours required in practice, along with the legislative and regulatory frameworks that guide skilled standards. Professional Workplace Interaction.410-801-HR Professional Workplace Interaction (45 hours)
(Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from January 20th, 2027 to February 5th, 2027)
This course introduces students to professional communication practices and the ability to adapt to a variety of workplace situations. Students learn to represent an organization in a professional manner and develop foundational skills in business negotiation. The course also explores multidisciplinary teamwork, with an emphasis on collaboration, as well as strategies for preventing and managing workplace conflict.410-802-HR Accounting I (45 hours)
(Mondays and Tuesdays from February 16th, 2027 to March 23rd, 2027)
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of accounting for sole proprietorship. Students learn to record current transactions, prepare a trial balance,



and produce unaudited financial statements. The course emphasizes core accounting principles and manual accounting processes, while building a foundation for further study in accounting and related courses within the program.420-826-HR Digital Work Environments (45 hours)
(Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from February 10th, 2027 to February 26th, 2027)
This course introduces students to digital environments used in management contexts. It emphasizes the development of secure practices for managing and sharing information, while enabling students to personalize their digital work workplace. Students learn to effectively use digital tools for communication and collaboration, as well as to plan and organize their work independently. The course also highlights the importance of protecting information and applying appropriate measures to safeguard against a range of cyber threats.412-801-HR Data Management Tools (60 hours)
(Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from March 10th, 2027 to April 8th, 2027)
This course teaches students to use dashboards connected to multiple data sources and develop advanced skills in spreadsheet applications, including their database functionalities. Students will contribute to the design and formatting of data collection tools, gather and manage data collaboratively, and present information using a variety of visualization methods.410-806-HR Accounting II (60 hours)
(Mondays and Tuesdays from March 30th, 2027 to May 4th, 2027)
This course teaches students to complete all stages of the accounting cycle for a commercial enterprise, from recording current transactions through to closing accounts and preparing adjusted financial statements. It provides students with a foundation in accounting for a sole proprietorship,



using both manual methods and spreadsheet applications. The course also develops key concepts in greater depth, including subsidiary ledgers, adjustments, spreadsheets, and selected elements related to cash flow.410-807-HR Business Law (60 hours)
(Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from April 9th, 2027 to May 6th, 2027)
This course introduces students to the legal frameworks and principles that apply to administrative and business contexts. Students learn to access and consult legal information, interpret its relevance and scope, and apply it appropriately within workplace situations.410-808-HR Computerized Accounting (45 hours)
(Mondays and Tuesdays from May 10th, 2027 to June 8th, 2027)
This course introduces students to the use of accounting software to record transactions throughout the accounting cycle and generate financial reports for management purposes.410-810-HR Accounting III (60 hours)
(Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from May 7th, 2027 to June 3rd, 2027)
This course develops students’ understanding of key concepts in financial accounting, including inventory, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and current liabilities. Students learn to record transactions specific to partnerships and corporations and to prepare related financial statements.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and/or a combination of other relevant diplomas or certifications in a pertinent field is required, and a combination of industry experience related to the courses being taught.To have some teaching experience would be considered an asset.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
