Build the Future with Carlson Construction Group Carlson Construction Group is seeking an experienced and driven Scheduler / Planner to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a planning qualified who thrives on turning complex construction activities into clear, executable project plans that drive successful project outcomes.

As part of one of Western Canada's leading construction groups, you will work alongside talented project teams on industrial, marine, civil, and infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are planned effectively, monitored accurately, and delivered successfully.

As a Scheduler / Planner , you will be a key member of the project team, providing planning, scheduling, and project controls expertise throughout the project lifecycle. Develop, maintain,



and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project .

Create and manage project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS). Break project scope into logical work packages, activities, durations, and dependencies. Analyze schedule performance and report project status to stakeholders.

Identify critical path activities, risks, constraints, and opportunities. Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, and Project Coordinators to ensure schedules align with project execution strategies. Prepare look-ahead schedules, progress reports, schedule forecasts, and executive-level reporting.

Support project controls functions, including forecasting, productivity analysis, earned value management, and schedule-cost integration. Evaluate changes in project scope and assess schedule impacts. Participate in project planning sessions, risk reviews, and constructability discussions.

Continuously improve planning and scheduling practices across the organization. Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, Project Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of scheduling and planning experience within construction, industrial, infrastructure, marine, fabrication, or heavy civil projects.





Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project . Knowledge of project controls, forecasting, earned value management, cost control, and schedule analysis. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and execution planning.

Ability to evaluate risks, analyze impacts, and develop practical recovery plans.

Experience supporting large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects is considered an asset. An effective communicator capable of influencing project stakeholders. Committed to quality, safety, and operational excellence. Passionate about continuous improvement and project success.
