Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on specific project methods.
- Prepares training materials, training sessions on project delivery methodology in accordance with guidelines.
- Acquires, customizes, documents, integrates, communicates and implements comprehensive IT standards and guidelines.
General Skills
- Knowledge and experience with Agile Information and Information Technology (I⁢) methods and techniques associated with the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks
- Communication, facilitation, negotiation, consensus building, and problem‑solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment and proven ability to do effective stakeholder management
- Knowledgeable and experience in Agile methodology and ability to educate others
- Experience facilitating the relationships between the Agile team and product owner and maintaining a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution
- Experience leading the Agile methodology and development teams in self-organization and identifying and filling in blanks in the framework
- Experience mentoring and coaching the teams on removing impediments
- Experience capturing feedback and documenting sprint reviews to administer project goals and improve team performance
Desirable Skills
Project Methodology certifications such as Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma Black/Green/Yellow Belt, etc.
Education Qualitifcations (40%):
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certifications.
Strong understanding of both Scrum methodology and business analysis frameworks. Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and processes, particularly CI/CD pipelines. Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and ensure productivity in an agile environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience
Experience Qualification (30%):
Advanced Certifications: PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, or Qualified Scrum Master (PSM) certifications are highly desirable. Experience in DevOps Environments: Previous experience as a Scrum Master and Business Analyst within a DevOps setting, bridging the gap between development and operations teams. Familiarity with DevOps Tools: Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes. Experience with Cloud and Containerization Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and tools like Docker or Kubernetes. Software Development Background: Experience in software development is advantageous, enabling better communication with technical teams. Industry Knowledge: Experience in industries like finance, healthcare, or other regulated sectors is preferred.

Scrum and Agile Expertise:
Demonstrated ability to lead Agile ceremonies and implement Scrum principles effectively across development teams. Business Process Modeling: Proficiency in modeling current and future business processes using tools like BPMN and process flow diagrams. Requirements Gathering: Strong expertise in gathering and documenting business requirements, translating them into actionable user stories and process documents. Backlog Management: Experience collaborating with Product Owners to manage product backlogs, ensuring the highest-priority work well-defined and ready for development. Gap Analysis and Problem‑Solving: Ability to perform gap analysis, identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations. Agile Metrics Management: Skilled in tracking and analyzing Agile metrics (e.g., Burndown charts, Velocity) to drive team performance improvements. Stakeholder Engagement: Expertise to manage and balance stakeholder needs while ensuring alignment with development priorities. Conflict Resolution: Experience resolving conflicts within the team and between stakeholders to maintain harmony and productivity.
Soft Skills (10%):
Servant Leadership: Lead with a servant-leader approach, focusing on removing blockers for the team and empowering them to achieve their goals. Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical and business requirements to diverse audiences.
