New Westminster Schools Career Opportunity New Westminster Schools is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for the following position: 0.40 FTE Temporary District School Psychologist Serving the community of New Westminster, the New Westminster School District provides high quality educational programs to over 8,000 students in a variety of learning environments. The assignment will be effective immediately and will end on June 30, 2027.

The District School

Psychologist is primarily responsible for conducting psycho-educational assessments and providing consultation services. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of current, effective assessment methods as well as best practice in academic intervention.



Provide consultation service to teachers and parents regarding students with a wide variety of issues including learning disabilities, behavioural challenges and cognitive impairments Minimum of Masters Degree in School Psychology or equivalent Eligible for membership in the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) Excellent knowledge of assessment methods for formally evaluating cognitive, academic, behavioral and emotional functioning for elementary, middle and secondary students Successful Completion of a Criminal Record Search is a legislated requirement, and only those applicants legally entitled to work in Canada will be considered.
