Universal is seeking a Security Professional in Simcoe, ON.
Position Title: Security Professional Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Status: Full-time Shift: Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays; (Rotating Shifts of 3 to 4 days each week. Must be comfortable standing for the entire shift. Valid ON Security Guard License. Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
Experience with report writing and note-taking. Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems. High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols Interact with clients, visitors, and employees,
providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation Comprehensive health and dental advantages Paid training and development programs.
