Become an essential part of the City of Hamilton’s Waste Collections team as a Labourer. This role involves operating tools and equipment to manage waste and debris in all weather conditions. The City of Hamilton seeks a Labourer for the Waste Collections section. You will perform physical labour, including lifting and operating various tools and equipment in downtown and other areas. Working together with a team, you will engage with the public while ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies. Key Responsibilities:
Operate hand and power tools for waste collection
Perform physical tasks including lifting and shoveling
Complete daily logs and activity reports
Maintain tools and equipment with basic inspections
Interact respectfully with the public and team members Requirements:
Experience operating equipment safely
Ability to lift up to 32 kg (70 lbs) occasionally
Robust communication skills, written and verbal
Willingness to work shifts and overtime
