Support vulnerable adults in emergency shelters as a Shelter Resource Worker with Lookout Housing and Health Society. Engage directly with individuals facing homelessness and provide essential services and linkages.This casual position requires a compassionate individual dedicated to helping clients navigate multiple barriers. As a Shelter Resource Worker, you will perform intakes, support services, and liaise with external agencies. This role demands a robust understanding of community resources helping disadvantaged adults. Availability for various shifts, including days and evenings, is essential.Key Responsibilities:
Provide supervision and assistance to homeless adults
Accept referrals and share information with external resources
Refer guests to necessary community services




Conduct interviews and ensure a safe workplace
Complete records and maintain statistical dataRequirements:
Related Certificate or Grade 12 plus two years of experience
Familiarity with community services related to mental health and addictions
Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
Robust communication and organizational skills
