As the Senior Burn Crew Member, you will lead a team of three Fire Management Technicians during wildland fire activities in Georgia. This role encompasses preparing fire lines, carrying out prescribed burns, maintaining equipment, and conducting post-burn assessments.
The position also involves managing shared accommodations for the crew and fostering a positive living workplace. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a fire crew effectively
- Prepare fire lines under the guidance of the Burn Boss
- Maintain equipment and perform post-burn monitoring
- Serve as a liaison with community and fire agencies
- Support environmental preservation through land management Requirements:
- High school diploma with 12 months of relevant experience
- Certification as Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2)
- Ability to pass physical fitness tests
- Experience with equipment operation and maintenance
